Task
Meetings enrich knowledge. How can motivation and commitment be increased at the same time – while stirring up a lot of emotion? And in an extraordinary way and without jet lag. Tasks like these cause interface’s idea sources to immediately bubble over.
Implementation
Cape Town is, of course, the location par excellence to achieve this goal. After the relaxed night flight, a small stopover with a breakfast picnic at a vineyard with a pool, makes participants feel welcome. Perhaps also a reason why the meeting runs so successfully in the afternoon. And then it’s night again and time to visit the Alfred and Victoria Waterfront and enjoy these unique views of the harbour at a stylish dinner.
A new day, a new meeting unit in the morning. Then a highlight via an interface contact that bestows unforgettable encounters to everyone: A visit to the Township of Philippi leads to the Themba Labantu aid project initiated by a German Minister. Here, HIV patients and their families get support. New funding in the amount of €5,000, which flows directly into the new playground, comes from the participants.
Also the large children’s party with a drum session and tree planting campaign builds bridges between the cultures: Everyone is now rooted a bit in South Africa. Another good reason to return here again. Everyone is happy about the togetherness, the understanding for one another – even without language. Because everyone understands genuine hospitality.
At a traditional dinner in a typical South African café, participants do not foresee what awaits them right in their rooms as they enjoy the culinary treats: A mysterious message on the bed and a garment bag. Clothes for two nights are to be packed in it. The gathering point in the early hours of the morning of the next day. What could it mean? The excitement builds, eager speculation in the corridors.
The secret mission begins before sunrise. The road in the darkness leads to the domestic airport, where the Lear Jet is standing ready. Now it’s on to the Safari in the Kruger National Park!
Landing on the dusty runway. There, 20 jeeps are already waiting with rangers. The trip takes guests to the exclusively leased resort, in the middle of the steppe. Each bungalow has a private pool. Wild animals venture up to the patio doors.
In the evening, a game drive, then dinner in the great outdoors: A traditional BBQ awaits the amazed guests under the starry sky. Goosebumps including the fascinating sounds of wild animals on the steppe. An unforgettable experience that is savoured along with music at the camp fire into the early morning hours. For most of the guests, the next stop is not bed, but a morning game drive. Then it is time to rest and relax by sunbathing until the stylish British teatime in the afternoon. Then, it is again time for an excursion. This time on foot, accompanied by an experienced ranger. After this, everyone enriches the treasury of their memories by the big 5.
Back to Johannesburg and on to Germany… wait, where’s the passport? Prior to departure, an unplanned adventure: With police escort, a trip is made across the city to the German Embassy. Just in time, the replacement document is issued. A few hours later, everyone lands again at home.
Result
